Small claims court- cosign an auto loan?

I cosigned an auto loan for a person, and they defaulted, I have a court appearance on March 11th by myself because she failed to respond to the summons. I do not know where the car is, or where she is, I do have all the car information and her social security number, what is the likely hood of me getting the car, and how quickly do you think I can get it. I live in new jersey. Can the court award me to car, and can i then report it stolen. What is my best course of action at this point. Also, she has stopped paying insurance on the car, so now the bank and put on its own insurance which i'm forced to pay. Can i find out if she has insurance on the car?

Well, apparently my insurance company cashed the check and cancelled my insurance without letting me know. The only reason I know my insurance was cancelled is because the Charity returned my $300 check and thats when I realized my mistake. When I called my insurance, it was already cancelled 5 days prior and even though they cashed the $20 check, that wasnt even made out to them, they refused to reinstate my policy. I had to make a whole new policy and set up for them to take the money directly out of my checking account. My question is, is this fair? Did I just get screwed out of my money?
